Edinburgh Art Fair 2023
As Monday dawns and I reflect on the whirlwind that was the Edinburgh Art Fair this past weekend, I find myself still basking in the glow of a truly remarkable experience. The O2 Academy Edinburgh, established as the vibrant host of this artistic haven since 2005, played backdrop to an event that seamlessly blended creativity, conversation, and commerce. Thursday evening marked the opening with a bustling private view and the great energy continued throughout the weekend. Engaging in conversations about my own artwork and pieces finding new homes was a great highlight of the weekend.
Established over a decade and a half ago, the Edinburgh Art Fair has evolved into a premier showcase for both seasoned and emerging artists. The range of prices, spanning from £100 to £100,000, is a testament to the diverse spectrum of artistry on display. From small, intimate pieces that beckon you to come closer, to grand, awe-inspiring works that command attention – the fair truly caters to every art lover's taste.
The weekend wasn't just a marketplace; it was a celebration of creativity. Strolling through the vibrant displays, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at the depth and breadth of talent gathered under one roof. The fair acted as a bridge, connecting artists with their audience and creating an immersive space where stories were shared, and emotions stirred. It was a brilliant end to my year of Art Fairs as I now move into Winter which is an opportunity to slow down before Battersea Affordable Art Fair kicks off in spring 2024.
Thank you to the organisers and everyone involved with the curation of EAF, it’s always a pleasure to showcase my work in my motherland and thank you to everyone who purchased one of my paintings for their homes. I hope to be back there next year.
