Megan is inspired by the natural world around her. From crystals found deep within the earth, to cosmic dust high up in the atmosphere

Acicular Series.

Inspired by the fragility of the Acicular Crystals.

I am always inspired by the natural world around us and the influence which this can have on humans. The Acicular crystals are fragile and therefore rarely found in their ‘perfect’ form.

Dispersion Series.

Inspired by dispersions of cosmic dust.

With a fascination of space, the cosmic dust is something that I’m captivated by. The dense masses of tiny particles that glow and move is what I emulate within my paintings. Using a pallet knife I work on these paintings over a series of weeks to slowly build up the dense areas of texture and colour.
